Tomorrow is the official first day of summer, summer solstice, when the tilt of the earth is pointing the most towards the sun, for North American countries, but yes, it has been hot for months now.Cicero wrote:What? Summer started a month and a half ago.MrSelf wrote: Summer starts tomorrow.

Its far too hot these days. About early - mid 20's (Celsius by the way, the proper way to measure temps). Our summer is May to July, then Autumn is August to October then Winter is Nov - Jan and Feb to April is Spring. What do ye do?Shinizo wrote: Did not. Might have in Ireland, dunno. Colder than a lot of places but warmer than some too.
Yeah I know its the solstice (a really cool thing happens a several thousand year old monument ). So, how do yeh measure your seasons? Is spring really long or what? Would it not be simpler to just go with 3 months per season?Tomorrow is the official first day of summer, summer solstice, when the tilt of the earth is pointing the most towards the sun, for North American countries, but yes, it has been hot for months now.

Wow so UKers also know how to measure temps properly. 20 is not too hot, especially if you have A/C, but it's when it hits 25 and up. But can't complain since this nice weather only lasts for a few weeks per year. This year is good though, and summer is not really started. We had nearly a month of nice weather, with bad weather in between of course, but more good then bad.

But first I need to go in the US and get a gun too. Gota love that, some 19 year old walking into your store "what's your most powerful gun?" "that one, and it's a clean shooter too, less of a mess" "perfect I'll take it"

Well it's not as bad as the president thinking our "president" is called jean poutine.
Or the governor (forget which state) thinking our parelament is a replica of the white house, but made out of ice.
Oh man, I need to post those interviews somewhere.

Our White House should be made out of ice. It'd be cool! ...I could see the president now.

Solstice marks the beginning of Summer and winter and the equinox marks the beginning of spring and fall here in the states. Our hottest months are June-August(July + August are killers in Texas), and of course we measure things retardly with Fahrenheit. So it is in 3 month intervals, just offset(due to the cooling and heating properties of water in the oceans, the peak temp. doesn't line up with the peak position)
