Has anyone tried it?

sounds like an oxymoron to me especially with "Stay in control of what's running on your PC." The default installation of windows is lacking in that area to put it nicely.

I'm a little wary of it. On the one hand, Microsoft did buy out one of the [if not the] best antispyware companies in the business, but then arises the question of if it's in microsoft's best interest to block everything. What I'm afraid of is that while it may block most spyware, it may suspiciously overlook key items in keeping with it's own interests and the interests of it's partners.

It's a decent program, lots of false positives though.

Actually I have not tried it but the reason it will probably be very good is that they know all the security holes in windows and know where to look, and know what should be there and what should not. So this might in fact be a good one, not counting the fact that it may crash during the scan, and probably mark lot ms competiting products as spyware. not sure if they're THAT evil though, we have to wait till long horn for that.

Red, keep in mind that MS actually didn't make this product, Giant Antispyware did before MS bought them. It is a nice product, but quite frankly, it's not going to convince me to go buy a valid license of windows to use it once it's out of beta.

Oh so they just bought it? Did not know that. I thought they only bought the company before the program was even made. That said, it should be a decent program then. But yeah, I would not pay for an anti-spyware program. There's plenty of free ones.
