My favorite type of game is a cross between action games (Like Battlefield 1942) and RPG's, action because it's so damn fun, and RPG's because it's so big, interactive, and unlimiting.

How about the rest of you guys?

Board games are my favourite type. I love Monopoly! Simulation would be a second. SimCity (any version) can be very addictive!

Risk on the computer is the greatest.

Also simulation is great, i usted to play the ORIGINAL simcity on the computer and now i play simcity 3000, and man is that ever fun (Though i could never get a town past a certain size without it going bankrupt)

Actually, I'm pretty sure Lord of the Rings Risk is the best. *invades Mordor*

Sim City's cool, but it'd be easier for me if I understood more about economics.

I picked action, and simulation is fun too. I don't play allot of games but when I do these are the 2 main types. I only have simcity 2000. I remember my old computer could not handle it at all, and now that this one does, I hardly play it lol. I need to try 3000 I hear it's awesome.

I've been thinking about buying that, i've played Shogun: Total War so i know the basic layout of the game, but is it anything really different than shogun, disregarding the change from the Japanese to the Romans??(Which Romans rock by the way)

I'd say the type of game i like most is action like action adventure, for the nintendo 64 i loved super mario 64 and legend of zelda:ocarina of time.

but there are games from the other genres that i love too
strategy:starcraft
rpg:chrono trigger, final fantasy IX, Diablo II
FPS: Time Splitters
Fighting: Tekken games

so i really like my variety

I've never played shogun but Rome kicks butt. I guess its the same. You have your generals armies, diplomats, spies, the senate ordering you around until you can take them over.l

Is shogun any good?
