When i got my new motherboard (for a socket 939 processor) it said that when i registered my product i would get a new copy of windows 64 bit edition in the mail.
This is a beta version and i'mkinda worried about bugs and stuff, if it ever arrives :angry: i'll tell you guys more if you'd like to hear it.

hehe...everyone gets that...in fact, you can download it for free from Microsoft.

You can find out other people's experiences with it with a web search if you want to know what you're getting yourself in to.

i got sick of waiting for it to come in the mail so i downloaded it from microsoft, the file should be 550,000 to 600,000 KB and mine is only 500,000 but i decided to try to make it work anyway, i copied the iso file to a cd and put it in my other computer, and nothing happened (it said it should autorun), and i don't know how to make it read this iso file, what should i do now?

You'll must need a startup disk.

And maybe other stuff, like making sure you go ahead and download all 64 bit drivers for things, such as your network card, before you even install it.

I never really messed around with it. From what I hear it's slow, still not too much driver support, and pointless to try out.

I tried XP 64bit on my 3400+, and it rocked, well at least the 64bit apps that were available did. They were noticably faster.
