skin scheme suggestions

Next step now is to get a new skin, given we'll be pulling in traffic from google soon, we need to look more impressive. So skin suggestions would be great!

There's 2 main options:

Get a premade skin

Replace CSS colors and replace graphics of this one. (can make quite a difference)

So in terms of suggestions i need either links to downloadeble skins, or color scheme suggestions.

I'll make a final decision after Christmas... maybe before, it depends how much I feel like it, and how much suggestions I get.

I was thinking that too.

Or at least a space theme. I'll see what the others think and I may go with that. Though I'm not a big fan of dark colors but we'll see what others think.

wtf they totally screwed up the skin system. I can't even upload a custom skin. They want some xml.gz file, but the skins that you download don't come in that format. So we'll be making a custom one... well I'll only change the css and stuff since the template system is horrible, it would take years to make a skin from scratch. But first I need more suggestions because I am going towards a starwar/space theme. Though blue and orange would be nice too.

I think it's time for round two of that Red. At least a new banner that blends into the background more or something. I'd be happy to make one that you could view and approve before adding. Come on man crank it up! Lets see a skin change.

Trust me I've been wanting a skin here for so long. But I really don't want to work my butt off for a week only to find out "this place is flicking ugly as crap now". Only skin we'll ever get is the default SquirrelBBS skin and that will be in quite a while from here I think.

I really need to get back into that project though.

We could have multiple skins but it's just too much trouble maintaining more then one skin. I remember having to do it back in the day at the old AF when we had like 15 skins. It was great and all that if you want change you just switch skin, but from an admin point of view any mod or change had to be applied on each skin.
