What's in a name?
How did you choose your log-in name, and do you use the same name in every forum that you have joined, and just how many forums are you a member of? I am Bookworm because I love books. I go to auctions every year just to see if I can buy boxes of old books. I have one room in my house with bookshelves along three of the walls. I am a member of one other forum and I use the same name.

What's in a name?
I've been using Red Squirrel for quite a while. I've always liked squirrels, chimpmunks and other cute rodents. The first time I used this name is when I when to revenge at some forum where they used to make fun of me since I was a computer n00b. The significance was that if you piss off a squirrel it will bite back hard. And I did.
And now I use this screen name pretty much everywhere. I had someone stalking me but it was not enough to make me want to change it. I'm liked hooked to this username, would not change it for any reason that I can think of.

My origional name FloodgG8 came from two places. One of my favorite Tool songs "Flood". The G8 was added because of my need to channel overflow emotions thus a sort of emotional Flood gate. I added the 9595 in a nod to Aqua Teen Hunger Force. This is the year that the cybernectic Turkey(supposedly) came from in last years Thanksgiving episode searching for his leader Goblox whom they have cooked for the holidays.

I have another moniker I used to use often, Ruler2188. I don't use it much anymore, but it's my name at www.harmony-central.com. Before I came here, I was a regular poster there, now I just browse and learn there, and socialize here. It came from several things in my youth. Ruler=joking around about how I rule the world, 2188= there was a star wars quiz in our local paper, I entered it and won one of the prizes, the question I got that none of my friend did was 'what cell was the Princess in inside the Death Star', which was 2187. I lost my password for my 2187 screenname, so I switched it to 2188. (All of this on FloodG8's computer non-the-less).
As far as MrSelf, when I cam to this forum, I started as MrSelf_Destruct, from the NIN song, it was just a funny name that was different than my Ruler2188. The last forum switch I decided that MrSelf was more fitting, and humorous.

What's in a name?
the nick manadren has no meaning whatsoever. I pulled it out of the air a long time ago when I needed a name for a character in a computer game, and became one of a pool of names I used a lot. The fact that the word mana is in it is purely incidental, baring some subconscious thing when I was thinking up the name.
I pretty much use the nick manadren exclusively now, but in the past I have used the nick u235, and variations on the word null.

I'm sure being scottish, it's a little tiring. I met a guy named Thomas Jefferson the other day, seemed he was not ammused anymore with references to his name and the president with the samesintekk wrote: Really, your name is William Wallace? Yeah, you're right, the really neat thing about this person is that their name is Thomas Jefferson _________, and the _________ is the same last name as the office boss, so it's not as interesting for you, but it's freaking weird for me

ok, cheesy, I know, but I've been listening to the APC cover of that song alot lately. Dreamers are good things, they make the world move foward, and give hope for a future in people who can not only see what they can take today, but what they can make tommorrow.

of course John Lennon's "Imagine" looks to be the big single off A Perfect Circle's new politically motivated album, Emotive. A great song performed by either artist.Visionary wrote:manadren wrote: "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope some day you will join us, and the world as one."
