I remember we tried a new skin once, but nobody liked it and everyone complained, so Red just gave up on the idea. Personally I don't know if I'd want a new skin. The current one may be old or perhaps boring, but at least it doesn't' suck.

Yeah I remember that. I actually just mentioned that over at Iceteks. I didn't get to see the skin. I logged in just after he switched back.

Question, before I go on a mad search. Did I say this or just think it...awhile back...

The origins and time line/history of this forum. I think that I tried to get a post going on that topic...jut for curiosity sake. Did that happen? I guess I'll just have to do a search.

I remember an old AF...like a whole different board when I first joined. Then it switched to here...and Red took it over from...someone..."Legend" maybe...can't remember who.

I searched for all topics that contain “history” in the title and have you as the author. You have to click the “More Options” button to do that.

lol nah, just the opposite. Red turned off registrations to keep spammers out...which as a result I guess will keep real peeps out.

Yeah it's a temp solution though. Once all the spam networks realize registrations are closed I'll reopen without any notice. It will hopefully slow down the spammers at the start. Eventually I want to code a 5-10 layer captcha system and implement on all my forums. Will be a pita to register though. What I may also do is merge all my forum user DBs together so if you register say, at Iceteks then your account will work on any of my forums.

Or. . .you could enact a law allowing us to shoot spammers on sight. Seems a lot easier to me.
