the American Dream

what is the american dream in your opinion?
what do you think others in diferent countries might say or belive it is?
does it differ from you families perspective?
i hear it a lot these days and i don't really understand why people say such a thing?

i like to know what others think about it?

World peace I suppose. But that would be more like the world dream.

What I don't get about this world is that if you ask anyone, probably even a terrorist, they'll agree that world peace would be great. But yet we don't have it.

The American dream is the opportunity to better one's position in life. If I don't like my job or the state I am living in, I can move, get a different job, even start my own business. I'm sure people in other countries can do this too, but Australian dream doesn't sound nearly as catchy as American dream.

How about Canadian dream.

Sounds kind of catchy. It basically involves going on a great ski trip, or dog sled riding or something.
