First of all, if satan (I think that's who you meant or else I need to get to know this statan guy?) does exist, his powers are not limitless. He would have taken over heaven by now, don't you think? Secondly, no, he doesn't. Why would satan make his power and influence in this world or "plain of existence" dependant upon an impermanent and completely destroyable physical object? It just doesn't seem to make much sense. If there is a God, is he/she dependant upon the Bible existing? No. God's existence is dependant upon nothing in this world, why would the devil be?

yeah, statan is the little known brother in law, he does a lot but never get's the credit. Anyway I'm sure satan (and statan) have limitless power in their own domain. This is why they can't just go and take over heavan. That and because god won't let em, with his whole limitless power deal.

It's not as much a matter of satan wanting to do it that way. Satan can only exist in all his awesomeness in hell, and as thus can't affect our realm directly. He needs some kind of agent in order for his power to exist here, be it a person, object, or lesser demonic critter. Should this agent be destroyed, satan can always create another. However all resources, efforts and time (in this realm, time doesn't exist in hell) expended in the creation of the agent will be lost.
