Well it goes through my cable so it just the wires that need to be put in.

Oh installed physically you mean? that's different. I thought you mean something to install on the PC.

For my adsl we get to install a POTS splitter at the phone box, then wire it to the "special" phone jack and then plug in the modem and we're off, but the ISP did the POTS splitter part so it saved us from doing it.

Now it's not even like that anymore, you just need a phone filter and that's it.

Cable is probably just as easy.
