How can I get a Gmail account?

I checked out the gmail website and I have seen people with gmail accounts. How can I get a gmail account?

The beta test is by invitation only right now. If you have a blogger account, you might be able to get one that way. Log in, and check if a box appears to the right. Not everyone gets one that way, but that's how a got mine. The other way is for a current gmail user to invite you, and not all users get invites to send out.

Lastly if you're desperate, you could buy an invite on ebay, or put up and offer on gmail swap. If you can offer up something good in return, you might get one that way.
