Linux is an operating system that's better then windows. Just harder to use but beats windows and is definatly worth using if you run any servers or mission critical clusters . :D

My windows 2003 HAS NOT crashed nor needed rebooting since I installed it several months ago. Microsoft is improving their act (honestly) :)

True, since I have not had problems with win2K since I use it. It goes through way more then my linux box and it's generally more stable in terms of direct use, the linux server is flawless remotely though (serving up pages etc) so that's all that matters. The KVM is rarely switched to it so all the errors don't matter. :didi:

:theyareontome:

still not sure of my gender, will update when I am....looks for 'other' option, finds that missing.

hard to miss how :poster_offtopic: this is getting, so to actually contribute ontopic here - my current *nix distro is Knoppix 3.2, but I have considered trying regular debian. Previous incarnations on the *nix box have included Mandrake, Redhat, (both of those from RH 6.2/Mandrake 7 days and on), and FreeBSD. FreeBSD is the only one of those branches that I would try again.
I would like to give the full $90 version of SuSE a try, but not in a situation where I can comfortably buy that currently.

I'm using the free d/l version of SuSE 9.1 (only one cd) off of linuxiso right now. I wouldn't mind getting the full pro version, as well, but don't see any need spending any money on another operating system when the one I have (XP) is working just fine. ;)

There...I was on-topic. Now let's get back to discussing gender!! :P

haha...hey, what happened to sports section, etc? I wanted to talk about Mike Tyson and how he got his :censored: beat the other night.

Fantastic, you a hermie, and damn proud of it.

The sports section disappeared when you pee'd in that part of the forum. Magic was never able to get rid of the stench so they burned it. All thanks to you.
