I hate stairs!

All stairs should be turned into elevators, and they should be able to support at least 10 tons (so you can make less trips which hauling stuff).

We had to haul tons of stuff from the boiler room which is upstairs (yeah I know, boiler rooms are usually in the basement...).

And they were too badly organized to have it arranged so the trailer is here today so tomorow we have to get all that stuff again and haul it in the trailer, I'm assuming a box transport or moving van type truck. So all this hauling down the stairs only to put it at the door then tomorow at 7:00am. But at least tomorow there's no stairs since we already brought it all down. I miss the days where the only work in the boiler room involved changing ahu filters.

Bah all this will be worth it once I see my first pay check.

We get to strip on the floors which is really fun... no wait, we get to strip the floors.

Stairs are sometimes nice. I take the stairs over the elevator whenever I can. It’s a nice small workout, and I have a bit of a fear of elevators. Part of my fear is because of the small, enclosed space (especially with lots of people), but part of it is also the fear of the cables breaking, being stuck in there for hours, fires, etc. Stairs can have that “someone’s stalking you” feeling, but that’s rare.

Gosh… I remember playing on the stairs in a high-rise. It was so fun. A friend and I did childish things like dropping and rolling coins. I’ll have to do that again.

(But unfortunately without the friend.

)

Oh yeah, stairs are terrible when you have to carry lots of stuff. Going down is worse than going up I think because it’s easier to lose balance. The muscle cramps you get are sort of satisfying though.

For houses, I don’t like stairs. Think about how hard things would be when you get old… One floor above ground and one below is perfect for me.

However, it is very nice to look out a window that high from the ground. I love it.

It's ok, it was a useless thread to begin with.

I don't really hate stairs, I was just saying that. I like elevators better though since they're fun especially when you hear the cables (this is caused by rust).

I like talking about how elevators work when inside of one with lot of people, (ex: thinkness of cables, higher chance of death compared to stairs etc, mentioning how long the cable for the wtc must have been etc). It's funny because people often scramble for buttons durring this conversation and they get off on a different floor then they said they were going on.

Yeah.

But you should of seen us with the last few things to bring.

We were getting pooped out and sweating buckets (it must be like 25 over 0 in that boiler room

)

We looked sort of like this, but with stairs and no fork lifts. Suprisingly, we did not break anything.
