Tired of switching between Firefox and Internet Explorer? IE Tab is a Firefox extension that lets you visit your IE-only sites with Firefox. Instead of launching a separate IE window, IE Tab opens the IE-optimized Web pages in a Firefox tab. Firefox is still the default; to visit a site with IE, you need to whitelist it in the Tools menu. IE Tab doesn't support every single Internet Explorer feature--for instance, it doesn't support IE's ActiveX enable/disable settings--but for most Web needs, it works just fine.
Note: The following link takes you to a Mozilla development site, where you can install the extension into your Firefox browser.
Cus alot of sites display like s**t in Firefox
FREE

Alternatively, if you are looking for this type of functionality, I'd check out the new version of Netscape 8. (http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/) I thought it was decent in how it handled both the IE and Firefox engines, although it comes bundled with a lot of optional crapware.

I installed this and its pretty cool.
You just add the button to the tool bar & then when you want the IE engine you just click the button.
The page refreshes & done.
Or you can option it to open in a new tab so u can see the differance.
I've had Netscape a couple of times-never liked it-too bloated.

No disagreement there, but a few of the people I tell about netscape seem to enjoy it better than firefox.richardj wrote: I've had Netscape a couple of times-never liked it-too bloated.

Are incompatible Web pages that much of a problem? I don’t remember the last time I had to use Internet Explorer to open something.
Viewing the Web site with Internet Explorer is a good way to dodge the problem, but it doesn’t help fix it. A nicely worded e-mail requesting support for alternative browsers would be good. Web developers are more enlightened than they used to be, but some still don’t have a clue.

I would say --maybe twice a week?- I run into a page that's just gobally goop-
pics & text over written on each other.
Plus of course when you're on Microsoft's site they won't let you download certain things without IE running.

Oh! I forgot about Windows Update. Well, I don’t remember the last time I had to use Internet Explorer for anything other than Windows Update.richardj wrote: Plus of course when you're on Microsoft's site they won't let you download certain things without IE running.

I’ve heard about that, but I feel safer downloading my updates directly from Microsoft instead of using a third party. I have a desktop shortcut to Windows Update on my administrator account, and it’s really no big deal to click on that every few weeks when I defragment, scan for spyware, etc.sintekk wrote: Try http://windowsupdate.62nds.com/, it works in firefox for most people

As it turns out, I was using a 'third party' firefox. After I uninstalled it & put the regular one in this works now.
38 fixes?? 52 MB??
Now paint diesn't save the pic to the normal size & the site won't let me attach .jpeg or .bmp.
WHY??

Ewww ASP, I dont know how anyone can like that stuff. I had to modify a script that uses it, it's such ugly coding, and mixes vb and other types of languages, it's inconsitant programing to say the least.manadren wrote: I gotta start using IE tab here at work. A lot of our internal web pages are IE only. Apparently there are a bunch ASP minions here.
