umm anyone know those mdg pc's?

well my step dad just bought one like brand new just out of the box today

anyways got it all hooked up and turned it on but nothing is working
laser mouse is not getting any power and the monitor is saying no signal ??
on top of that the pc keeps on beeping

i did a google search on it but cant seem to find any info so im wondering if you guys might know what the problem is?

techsupport does not seem to be an option at this time lol

Did you set up the CMOS??

Usually get into it by clicking DELETE as it initially boots or try holding down F6 as it boots-this restores CMOS (bios) to factory defaults on most PCs.

dont think keyboard is getting any power ether

windows and bunch of bs programs were supposed to be pre-installed on it but nothing seems to be running

How would you check the bioscmos setup if the monitor isn't getting signal?

As always check the obvious first (if you haven't already) double, triple check to make sure all the cables are plugged in and in the right spots, nice and secure. If that don't work, make sure you know whether the system has a vid card or on board video and pop open the case and double riple check everything in there. Make sure the ram and video card is seated properly, check power cables, idesata cables, all that good stuff, check if your video card needs to be plugged into the power supply for extra juice, etc.

If you're still not getting video possible problems could be with the power supply, video card, ram, or motherboard. If your mousekeyboard isn't getting power it's probably either the motherboard or Power supply failing the obvious broken mouse AND keyboard, which is kinda unlikely.

ok triple+ checked all cables/plugs and all sitting great and in the right places

i did ask him if i could open the case before i posted to check if everything is sitting right inside to see if anything may have come loose well it was being shipped but he does not want to try that till he gets a call from mdg incase it voids the warranty etc

in all i think the powersupply is fine cuz all fan's/cd-dvd drive/lights and that damned speaker inside the computer is getting power

but the front/back usb ports do not seem to be getting any and mouse/keyboard and monitor no signal lol

since mdg does pre-install crap on it im sure the computer had to be running/tested at some point and my guess is somthing came loose well it was being shipped

if ya think of anything els let me know ... otherwise im stuck waiting for him to let me open it

but can anyone tell me why the internal speaker wont stop beeping tho? STFU ><

The internal speaker is beeping for a reason (obviously). That's an error code, which if you look up in the manual, or more likely google it, you might be able to get a general idea of what the problem is.

The beep may be an error code message. You really need tech support.

true but its not like my dad needs anything that great

the most it will be used for is a dvd player and probly music

THIS PROCEDURE WILL DELETE EVERYTHING FROM YOUR SYSTEM. ALL YOUR FILES AND DRIVERS WILL BE
LOST.
Note: Before installing Windows, download the drivers for your system board.
1. Locate the F2 key on you keyboard, after turning on the computer keep tapping on the F2 key (some system
boards use F1 or DELETE to enter the BIOS SETUP UTILITIES). A DOS screen should show (BIOS SETUP
UTILITIES).
2. In the BIOS SETUP UTILITY, you would move with the right arrow on the keyboard scroll right to the Boot
menu. Do not press ENTER.
3. With the down arrow scroll down to BOOT DEVICE PRIORITY and press ENTER
4. Highlight the FIRST BOOT DEVICE and press ENTER
5. Highlight ATAPI CD RW/ DVD RW or (SM-HL-DT-ST-GCE-xxxxx) in the blue menu and press ENTER. This
will make the CD or DVD drive the first boot device.
6. Make sure that the MDG Windows XP SP1/SP2 disk is in the CD/DVD drive
7. Press F10 on your keyboard and then select OK and EXIT. Please make sure if you have an F-Lock button
on the right hand side of your keyboard above the NUMLOCK that you press that down first and the light stays
on. THEN press F10.
Read carefully for a message stating “Press any key to boot from CD …” and as soon as you see that, press
ENTER quickly to enter a windows setup. If you are too late please restart the system and start from this point
on.
8. When the windows setup appears, press ENTER to install (DO NOT do the REPAIR)
9. Press F8 to agree to the license. (If you have an F-Lock key on your keyboard you will have to press that first
before pressing an F8).
10. At the next step you may get a window that prompts you as following “If one of the versions of Windows is
corrupt setup can attempt a repair, …..” At this screen please press ESC.
11. The next step will show you a list of partition(s) i.e. c:windows partition 1... Press D to delete the partition
(C:windowsXP Home edition)
12. Press ENTER to continue and then press L to confirm. Repeat this again now for the second partition if you
have one. If not, skip this step
13. Highlight the new RAW partition and press C to create a partition. Press ENTER for the maximum size.
14. Press ENTER to begin format.
15. Press ENTER to format the partition with the NTFS file system (DO NOT USE THE QUICK OPTION).
Follow instructions as prompted
Note: you will have to install drivers and all applications after windows installation.

I think I would shut it off-unplug it-uninstall the CMOS battery & leave it sit for 15 mins,

this will reset everything back to factory defaults.

I missed about the no signal but I would try the above and see what happens.

If it's brand new the differant plugins might not be plugged in tight -cords-memory.

JUST TAKE IT BACK GET A NEW ONE

ok got it up and running today

its really not half bad ... took a quick peak in control panel
2.67 GHz
512 ram
240 gig space

vid card is sharing ram tho

I would of just built my own, or get a dell. When it comes to non custom computers dell is probably the way to go.
