Windows XP SP3 Preview #6 has finally been released!
It took a few months, but it's finally here.
It has over 389 hotfixes, 102 of which are brand new.
Download it today in the forums. If you have a 64-bit system, expect a pack for those fixes as well.

I'd have trouble trusting a XP service pack from MS, let alone a 3rd party.
But then again, maybe a 3rd party would do a better job.

Yea I'm not a big fan of the SP2 either. First time I screwed up my comp, but during a reformat last may I reinstalled it and it works fine now, go figure.

The SP3 and the other things at thehotfix.net are ACTUAL Microsoft hotfixes which have been ---shall we say---'compromised' by someone with Microsoft access.
Alot of the fixes are ones that Microsoft makes you call in for and beg them for it.
It appears that the only updates that will install are ones that your system neads as there were 300+ in the service pack & only fourty something installed on mine.
I would never even think about running without an updated system as I catch spy-virus hell now sometimes updated-I can imagine the exploits being predated.
ANYWAY--I have been installing their stuff right along & it's just fine.
