A patheticly wasted day

So my mom wanted me to change the headboard on my bed with this other one. Figuring this would be an all day thing as it involves moving lot of stuff around to get the curent one out and then put the new one (which weighs in a good 100+ pounds - probably just as heavy as me, if more). So I move all the stuff in front of the bed, move it as far as it will go which is about 2 feet, then when I got to the headboard I realized I had to remove the matress in order to unscrew/screw. So I'm sitting there trying to figure out what I can do, as there is no room in here to put the matresses as my room is ackward with no possibility to move big things around. So I get this idea of using a peice of wood to "jack" up the 2 matresses to give me some room to unscrew so I do that.
Headboard comes out easy, it's made of 2 poles of wood and the rest is hallow metal.
Now the other one is HUGE and HEAVY, so it took me about an hour to get it into the position behind my bed, given the ackwardness of brining it there, let alone it's weight.
Then I find out it does not fit because it's built really weird, the holes arn't at the right place and it's much bigger. So I had to do everything I did but in reverse.
Moral of story: Measure stuff before you install it.

Hey y'all...doing good here...just trying to keep the old pc going. This P4 is about 3 years old now. Seems to be slowing down, like me.
Trying Firefox after a format...will see how it goes.
Back to the subject...what is the latest on the headboard? Maybe you should try what I did...no headboard at all!

Well the headboard would hit against the wall given I was not able to screw it in properly, so the original headboard will stay it's much more solid.

I think they would still hear with the headboard, unless you're incredibly quiet.
