why no notes?

A pastor of a small country church served as a guest speaker one Sunday
morning at an awe-inspiring cathedral in a large city and the urbanites were
deeply impressed.
In addition to being moved by the country pastor's message, the city people
were in awe of his speaking abilities.
"Tell me, how come you don't use any notes when you give a message?" one of
them asked the pastor.
"Oh it's quite simple," he replied. "I once gave a sermon from carefully
prepared notes in my little country church and at the end of the message, a
little old lady had a question for me. She wanted to know how I could
possibly expect her to remember the message when even I couldn't remember
it."
