do you Java?

Post by onykage »

Hello guys,

I new to this forum and I was curious what divercity of coding expertise lives here. I know this obviously isnt hardOCP but whole likes that crowd anyway =P.

I personally code in

Flash, Php, Xml and Java. I am striving to learn either python or pearl in the next year orso.

What languages do you guys use? Are there any other Java coders here besides me?

I'm more into php, learning C++ in college, knew it well before but now rusty in it, so college is making me remember everything again. :D I've done some vB and asp but I would not consider these as languages I know as I never worked with them that much, and not really interested in them either. :D

I did a bit of java in secondary school but never really improved my skills in the language. I know a fair bit of C, alot of HTML/XHTML, learning javascript as well. Coded in the old school turing language. I used to know alot of languages, but I know less of them now because I keep upgrading the language. Oh yea, know a bit of VB too.

The only one I basically am good at is Turing. I know a tiny bit of Java and Python. Out of all of them, not judging on what I know, Python is my favorite because of it's colour coded text =D !

If you like Java, then you'll very much like Scala.

It can make use of the very same libraries, but as a language is a significant improvement.

My expertise is with somewhere around a dozen programming languages. I speak English natively, know a fair deal of Spanish, and find Mandarin intriguing.
