*feeds Photoshop fun thread a cup of lifenoodles*

It's alive! - - - The Photoshop fun thread. Here's how it works. A picture is posted, and anyone who wants to throws it in their favorite image editing program (Adobe Photoshop, Corel photo draw, The Gimp, MS Paint, Irfan view, etc.) and mess with it any way you like until you come up with something interesting, and then post your creation for all to see. You can add effects, funny captions, cut and paste, even alter it beyond all recognition of the original image, anything you feel like doing. After you post your creation, try post a new ummodified picture for others to manipulate, to keep things interesting.

If you want, you can choose to modify an older picture in the thread or even someone else's creation. You can even snag stuff from the Old photoshop thread if you're so inclined.

If you don't have a favorite image editing program, you can always try a free copy of The Gimp for Windows, or your favorite flavor of LinuxUnix.

YAY! Thank you for that. Can't wait to start up the thread like this again. Looks like fun. I'll probably post entries myself (in corel though, only prog I know how to use, but it's similar). But only tomorrow, it's 3am here !.

Here's my attempt made in corel draw. I was playing around with effects and the psychedelic effect at a certain degree made stains of red appear on the grim's cloaked hood. This looked pretty neat, so I went over the scythe blade with red to make it stand out more. After that, wet paint affect gave it the illusion that the blood was dripping. Finished off with the plastic effect to give it a bit of shadow and depth. Enjoy

A simple one really, just threw in a solid green layer in color blending mode, but as I was playing around with other stuff, I really liked the way it broiught out the detail in the roses, while bringing a kind of supernatural brightness, particularly around the top two roses.
