Yet again, I'd like to ask how you know this. Not trying to ruin the topic, I just hate how people speak of events so FAR BACK IN HISTORY as if they KNOW it happend.

Most facts are listed in the Bible as they happened .
But then again ,remember the bible was written by man
as told by a spirit .so in mams own words things are sure to have been changed
through the years as it was rewritten over and over .
This is my take on it .
Proof start a storie and watch it get changed as it get told over and over .

OH YE OF LITTLE FAITH

Look at the account found in Matthew 2:7-16: "Then Herod, when he had privately called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared and he sent them to Bethlehem and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and they had opened their treasure, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. Then Herod, when He saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men".

There are some good clues in these verses. First, there can be no doubt that these wise men were guided by God. As such, that means they were prophets, which means they had to have received revelations about the coming Savior. And it was from these revelations, they knew a special star would guide them. Secondly, their trip took two years from the time they started their journey to the time they found the Jesus. Thirdly, we know they came from EAST.

Notice also, there is no mention that these wise men found Jesus laying in a manger, or even in Bethlehem. The Biblical account refers to Jesus, not as a baby, but as a "young child" when the wise men arrived. Furthermore, they came "into the house," not a stable or inn. This seems to suggest that the wise men arrived at their destination a considerable time after Jesus had been born. Perhaps as much as two years after His birth.

Everything you have posted is in error.

To begin with most of the Bible is historical fact which HAS NOT changed over time, but rather is (for all intents) EXACTLY the same through out time.

The parts of the Bible that are prophesy are written by man but are the inspired words of God--not some "spirit"

Look man...Im just as Christian as the next man....But you really need to calm the hell down. You keep pushing your OPINIONS on other people. Nothing about the Bible can be read the same way by one person as it can by the next. THATS WHY ITS SO CONTIRVERSIAL! Yes I believe the Bible...yes I believe the word of God..but I believe and I worship in my way...not yours.

You cannot preach a book that has NO SOLID proof of it's accuracy down people's throats as if it is 100% fact.

Ye of little faith? Yes, I have little faith in something that cannot be proven, nor disproven. Especially things as far-fetched as I've heard some Christians say. Sorry, I am heavily anti-Christian because they are too arrogant, and ignorant to other people's beliefs and feelings.

WHO'S POSTS ARE YOU READING??

I'm not pushing my opinions on anyone.

Questions were asked & statements were made & I answered them with facts-------
-NOT OPINIONS.

And you are in error by saying that the Bible can not be read the same way by one person as it can by the next.

WORDS HAVE MEANING.

The definition of words does not change from person to person. :handintest:

You say you believe in the Bible & what it says but you don't believe it can be read correctly?

Sounds illogical to me.

The Bible is only 'controversial' to those who don't understand it. <_>

ALL written , historical, archelogical & prophetic evidence support the Bibles accuracy.

NOTHING has been found that defeats the wording of the Bible.

The Bible is FACT--PERIOD.

ANYTHING else that you have heard is propaganda or wishfull thinking.

And if you are so 'antiChristian' why bother celebrating Christ's birth?

OH THAT'S RIGHT--you need more balls

oh sorry--Bawls :roflmao2:
