Just got bored and the thought of internet companys was on my mind because of upload...Just wondering what kinda internet you guys have...If you use DSL and its not verizon post that too.

I'm with sympatico ADSL. Suposely 5mb/sec though I've never seen it. They had major issues last year with downtime but they seem to be better now. Only thing that sucks is that they dont let you have more then 250 connections at once, so you can't really use p2p programs very well. If I do try to use a p2p app usually I can't use my connection for anything else, since a p2p app will use up lot of concurrent connections.

Mountain Cable. Pretty nice . I can actually use p2p networks and have things download at a decent speed (Unlike sympatico). Mind you, when you have 2 people in a dorm with torrents and p2p's opened, the bandwidth starts to go. If you see me lagging on UO, you'll know why.

I use Earthlink dial-up, and I’m quite happy with it. Bellsouth would be my new ISP if we switch to DSL. (Incidentally, not counting the hardware required, their “DSL Lite” plan would actually cost slightly less than our current arrangement.)

Dialup? May God help you quickly!

Speaking of dialup, today I had to go to someone's house since their msn was not working, so I deleted the 4.7 to go download 7.0, and to my horror they had dialup, it was faster driving back home, downloading it, putting it on my external hard drive, then driving back, then it was to download it on site. No way I wanted to stay there for an hour to wait for a small file to download.

I know personaly I HATED dial-up...I got DSL and am extremly happier because of it. I have only had DSL a few months now and I cant remember what dial-up was like

Yeah I got ADSL for christmas a couple years back, man that was the best present ever, a gift that keeps on giving.

I got a new computer and wireless DSL for my birthday and they said I wasnt getting anything else and i just kinda sat there dumbfounded wonder what else there was that could match this kinda gift haha
