Bibles can act as shields

When Oliver Cromwell became the head of the British government, he ordered
all troops to carry a Bible.

One protested, but he obeyed the command, and he was glad he did. The Bible
stopped a bullet and saved his life.

The bullet had penetrated to Ecclesiastes 11:9 that says, "Young man...
realize that you must account to God for everything you do." That led him to
the Lord.

No one can promise that the Bible will protect you from bullets, but we can
promise it will protect you from the devil's darts.

Long ago a wise one said, "The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will
keep you from the Bible."

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be an example in purity and prayer, in
believing and behaving the Bible. Draw us closer to Thee: in Christ's name.
Amen.

Actually, I've heard of a similar story happening to this one guy who was playing golf. Someone shot at him and the bullet got lodged in a golfball he was carrying in his pocket.
