Here we can post suggestions to improve the cybervillage.
So far here are a few being considered:
- different statuses (poor, middle classs, rich, criminal etc)
- Taxes, depending on status, and poor people would get more ICs for stuff
- bigger map
- better item management (create containers to store items in, rather then a huge list)
- awards/special items - these items could do special things as there would be a property to run a script then this script could do pretty much anything, so for example a special item can be a 10% HP increase deed. when you open it, all your items are upped by 10%... really the possibilities here are endless, these type of items would be awards for certain things like when a user hits 1000 posts, etc.

I'm unsure of how penalizing the taxes should be, considering there are limited ways to make money outside of running a bank and stealing from others. There definately should be a weekly allowance of around 100k to people with less than 10 million ICs to keep people interested and able to buy items that aren't completely useless.

Yeah I think the taxes will be like sales taxes or something, or maybe only apply to busnesses, not sure yet how I want to impliment them.

For the lottary section. I think it should work like a draw. People can gain lottary tickets as rewards for wrtiting good articles or if they donate IC's to poor members (Anything that benefits the forums in a good way, or something that is spectacular like a successful 11 x 11 bombing of the cybervillage). At the end of the month (or a few weeks) a random value is generated and a winner is declared (The value keeps generating until it finds somebody with a valid ticket). Not sure if this would work or not. For the pot, it could be accumulative from cybervillage activities (Then again, the gov account is already used for stocks). The pot could also be calculated some other way. If the gov account for stocks were changed for the pot, people would be able to see how big the pot is (Like an announcement on the top of the cybervillage would say "The pot is at 50 million IC's" draw date is on October 30). Just a thought. It would work better than the lottary right now which can be abused into giving somebody a large stack of IC's in a day. It also promotes beneficial activities in the forum. People who write articles for the forum will get recognition and will be rewarded.

A tax on item tuning would be a fair way to get money.

Yeah the way this could work is that I just have to run a draw every now and then, I can just have an admin page or something where I click the button. Or it could check the date and do it as soon as someone opens the lottery page to check if it's past that date. When the draw happends it then sets the next draw to be 7 days later, or something. Instead of picking numbers it can simply be tickets that you buy then it goes in a draw so the more you buy the more chance you have. there could be a 100 ticket limit or something.

Gotta have the jail idea! It will highlight the criminals and display the names of the most notorious thefts and the biggest terrorists. It could also show the list of banned people so everyone can have a good laugh. For the criminals, people can put bounties on their head and offer an IC reward to anybody who successfully robs them. So say somebody gets robbed they can put a bounty on the person's head (In either IC's, reward item or land tile). If somebody successfully robs the theif, they will get the standard amount of cash they usually get while robbing, as well as the reward for the bounty. There would probably have to be a limit on this though, such as only 5 bounties at a time (Highest pricing or reward gets higher on the list) Or if somebody successfully robs the person who has the bounty on their head, THAT person can't turn around and put a bounty on HIS head because the deed was done in goodwill.

philonous mentioned earning interest on money in the bank. That would be nice and would definitely make a tax more palatable.

Yeah problem with interest, I've seen it on another site that had a bank system (but it sucked) you put in like 5 curency in it and within months you got like 3428432789324. But I guess it could be a super low rate or something. Not sure how it could be coded though, maybe every time the page loads it check when was the last time it was calculated and if its been more then a month then it checks what the time span is and adds the interest. Bankers could then choose the interest rate, which would come out of the banker's pockets, so you'd have to be smart with how much service charges are so you make profit.

Ok for the better item management I realized how much work this really is. Displaying it properly is easy, it's setting the containers for each item. I would have to somehow make it so you specify a range of items to be moved to the specific container. So I'll put this on the back burner until I think of an easier way that this could be done.
Meanwhile I'll simply organize the display more. ex: stuff you own will only show up when you click the link, otherwise you see the items the store has to offer. I'll also add options to sort by different fields so you can sort by item worth, defence, damage, etc.

Have an auction section where different things could be traded. Special items, land, lottary tickets and such. The way it would work would be kind of like ebay I would suppose. The person sets a reserve for the item and then people bid it on it. I suppose a week or a couple of days would be a good amount of time to have the item be bid on, then the highest bidder gets the item. There could be an icon in the cybervillage (Like the stock market thing) where people could view the auction at any time

Hmm this could be interesting, and possible to impliment. I'm also thinking of making the scrap option simply delete the item rather then sell, as the item table is bloated with crap. That's why the mall is so slow. I tried to optimize it as much as I could by making it so stuff you own and buy stuff don't show up on the same page.

Ya, I hate it when my mall gets loaded with 0 damage WMD's. It kind of sucks to sell them, nobody will buy them of course. One time I had a WMD with 0 damage going for 1 mil

Yeah I'm working on a feature that will make those decay automaticly.
Edit: fixed. any time someone manufactures an item all items that have 0 in stock or have 0 damage and defend hp will be nuked. Even a preview manufacturing will work for this.

I talked about this one before, but just so that nobody forgets it, I'll write it down
. The special status awards. The ones that could appear in somebody's signature. They will be little icons (About the size of land tile or smaller) that show up in a member's signature when they receive a special award. One award would be a golden trophee with the number 100 on it symbolizing 100 posts and will show up in the member's signature whenever he/she posts. Soooo for special awards, contests or posting awards, everyone will be able to see who active members in the forum are and how long they've been around. From time to time, the admin could run a poll to give out special rewards and everyone can vote on it. Here's an example of what I mean:

Ummm I actually live with my girlfriend. Unlike in here, in real life I really can't afford to do anything outside at the moment until i get some money through.
I only rob you because I know how cranky you get.

The best is the negative number one though, I don't know how I managed to not think of stoping that. The 2-3 one is just as bads as it actually does the equation so it gets -1 and it just goes in an endless loop.

When you leave over 200 mil out of the bank, into your wallet with no defense, you're asking to be robbed. But it all goes to a good cause. Bank security. Hey, why not open your own account today? The Western Imperials bank of Commerce will guard your IC's with its life!!!!!! **Advertising**

Yeah, I was just sick of having negative IC's, so I decided to try the oldest trick in the book: the negative number
