Damn, 35 bucks an hour for support over WebEx. Remote Desktop is better than WebEx, rofl
Wonder what those bozos do when someone with an alternate OS that doesn't support ActiveX calls in for help?

Actually I've had the thought of standardizing a setup on customer's PCs so I can remote in. Sort of like a back door where I tell them to double click an icon that opens the program (ex: VNC) and shows their IP then I go from there.
But there's still bozos out there with dialup so it would not work out too well for everyone.

VNC is multiplatiform, I believe. For instance, If you have to help someone on MacOS, it's handy.
Remote Desktop had some vulnerabilities, but nowadays, it's a fine way to help someone fairly clueless running WinXP solve a problem over the phone, as long as you set Remote Desktop up proprerly for them first. You set up a session, give them the information, they connect and you can remotely control their computer. It's all built into WinXP.
