some random electrical dudes accidentally pulled some power cord in the ceiling which shut off the power on the server I was working on at work. Great way to end a week, with NTFS corruption!

probably an electrician's worse nightmare while working on a circuit, when some random guy from IT shows up.
They brought the circuit back up, for now.

If IT comes to you, it probably means you cut the wrong wire, or shut off the wrong breaker.
"uhh, that was the main breaker to data center"
That reminds me of the time me and a coworker tried to reproduce an issue with a 100amp circuit which caused a short and a breaker to flip. We could not figure where the short was. While it was in the short situation, I flipped the breaker back on, and it stayed on... instead the main breaker of the box feeding that one tripped. Half the office lights turned off, all the servers switched to UPS power (some are like only 15 minutes) and it was pure chaos. There was a screw that disabled resetting the main breaker if it tripped, so we had to scramble for a screw driver to undo it.
Electricity and IT does not mix.

Oh man, he'd be dangerous as an electrician.
"bah too much trouble to undo this huge cable from the reel, I'll just use this spare cat5 cable here for the 250 volt line, it already has enough wires in it"
