W00t I can shower now

For those who did not know about a month ago some weird bump started growing on my butt (and no it's not "lack of wiping properly" related I asked the doctor ) and it grew to an incredible pain which ranked 9/10 on the ER pain scale.
So I had to get it surgically removed then they had to fill the hole with packing and change it every 2 days, the first few times were so painful they had to freeze it (and getting 8 needles on the butt sure hurts as hell!), then when it came less painful they did it through the clinic instead of the ER so I did not wait as long. At first they were putting like 1 foot of packing, it's basically like a long flat string. Then half a cm then nothing. So 2 days ago when I went they basically told me to change the pad myself if needed or take it off. Today I took it off and looked at the wound for the first time since I saw the bump and there's like practically nothing. So I did not bother with the pad and just cleaned it with magnisium salt.
During this whole process I had to clean myself with a wet sponge, as that area could not get wet at all. So it really sucked as I could not really do that in the shower but downstairs, so mornings were crazy with 3 people needing the same washroom!
Looking SO forward to tomorow as I will take my first shower in weeks. I'll actually feel clean after lol.
Moral of story: don't take showers for granted! Also, don't take your ability to sit for granted, the first few days after the surgery I could not sit at all. It felt like I was sitting down right on 2 nails that had 50,000 volts in them, if I tried.
Oh and get this, in the middle of this, I got this virus that could lead to some other desieases that are possibly life threatning. I was sick for like a week.
Man, so glad all of that is over. I just hope not putting a pad was the right move and that it won't get infected and start over.
Suposely these things are comon too, it's caused if you get an ingrown hair. Some people get them all the time. I sure as hell hope it won't happen to me again. If it does I think i'll pull out some power tools and just rip the whole thing out. No wait, I'll run into a brick wall to get knocked out and get someone else to do the drilling for me.
