:grade11math: why would somebody put themselves through torture to listen to that? "That's like locking yourself in a room with P2's, each doing a defrag" (Red Squirrel)

 Good point.

Hey, I so need to try that in that P2 room at college. If I set a defrag but make a macro to start/pause it at specific intervals, I can make music!

Haha. For a symphony I could also send a large broadcast packet across the whole network of that lab. Hmmm, network symphony. C++ class... hmmm that could be a nice little project there. LOL

But it's still like last year, not allowed to use if statements and loops. DOH! So I doubt we'll even do winsock.

Ya, reasons why I left :P. This year looks like it will be worthwhile. I mean, I already got an assignment to do. First day of school, first class for networking, we get an assignment. JOY :P

Haha. Well networking will be decent, we're actually starting with binary / hex / dec conversions.

Oh and Candice asked where you were then we told her and she's all "He'll regret it, he'll be back" :P

Oh he went to college with me, then betrayed us and went out of town. :P Candice is one of our teachers.

Not sure how dot matrix printer performances brought us to this topic though.

Oh yes, talking about the super loud hard drives in the college lab.

Tell Candice that out of all the teachers there, she was BY FAR the most knowledgeable. Tell her I'm only bringing the knowledge of her course with me, the rest of the stuff I learned was pretty much useless. :P (Bah, you won't tell her lol)

And if anyone asks, I was sucked in by a swirling vortex and ended up in a warmer climate lol

Haha. :D Are you sure a vB hello world program won't come in handy? What about that one where you click the button and it displays a list of grades that are hard coded? Very useful! :P

LOL. I don't know, a C coded program that automatically replies "lol" "haha" "nice" or :P on your MSN list may just serve more of a purpose (Yes, I plan on coding one of those :D)

Haha yeah I'd like to make one too but I have a feeling that will still be too advanced, I doubt we'll be allowed to use winsock lol. Oh well I can sacrifice points to make a useful program. I wonder if it would bring me down to a B if I made it cross platform, I could make it run in both linux and windows. :D

Think they'd expell you for such a "vast knowledge" :P

Yeah, for job security reasons.

Or if it was the states, for knowledge leading to possibly threatning programs.

Hehehe you should see my C reference guide, it's as thick as the frame on my 15" crap CRT. I am tempted to open it and absorb all the programmy goodness :D

Probably won't use it? That's a bummer. Do you at least have any decent teachers this year? If you have Marcel again, I will cry on your behalf

Ya, Neil looks like he knows what he's doing. Best of luck to you anyways. I met my programming teacher today and you can tell he knows what he's talking about. Something with EOF and the use of conditional statements in the same sentence caught my interest :D
