Converting a windows 2003 server to workstation

Found this to be quite interesting, I'm in the process of doing that, if I can get it to reconize my sound card, I'll do a real install. (doing it in a VM right now to test)

Win2k3 is pretty secure as a workstation because by default IE is pretty much unusable. Unlike what this guide says, I would leave it the way it is. Well you might need IE to go download firefox, but once firefox is installed you're all good.
