Wow yeah it must suck in florida... at least by the time most storms get here they're weakened. The worse one we had only damaged trees and power lines, but not much structural damage.

Yeah would be cool as long as I don't loose my house. Have too much important data that I can't afford to loose, and not to mention expensive equipment.
But there is some storm clouds coming our way but they'r enot that big so I think we'll only have a regular thunderstorm.

nope just went to check outside all the clouds are going more up north and will just miss us. Similar to what a huge storm did last year. I got some pics of that one, it would of been a big one.

Yeah, people((like my mom)) thinks it would be alright to have insurance or something covering your stuff and get new stuff. Not me. I have quite alot of stuff that I wouldn't be able to recreate, mostly because my memory would fail me. Stuff I don't want to lose. Stuff I worked hard on.
That's not including hardware such as my PC((duh)), my PS2((I wouldn't want to lose it)), my PSP, my digital camera, my new camera phone I'm getting in a few days((Nokia 3220, check it out if you have time)).

Yeah that's really my main issue, data that can't be recreated, etc. It would take years to rebuild everything to the point it is now like my network, etc..
I always tell myself I need an off site backup of the most important stuff, like "blueprints" if you will, but I don't have another place to put it, and media that can hold all of it.

We dont have tornados and things like that in Sweden.
Very strong storms happens very seldom.
But we had one in south of sweden 2004.
Was the worst since many years.
Took a lot of forrest trees down and caused electric power failure on large scale.
Still Sweden is a good country in this respect.
Almost never any earthquakes, tornados, water flooding and other such things.

You know what you've got to do Squirrel, copy everything to a new hard drive, then mail it somewhere far away. Or possibly in a tresure chest and throw it into the ocean. It'll be safe there
.

Yeah I've thought of that. Or once I have a dedicated server I can store stuff on it too. Or get a rail gun, a few Miles worth of fishing line, a lead box, and put the drive in the box, tie it to the line and launch it in space with the rail gun. If I need it, I pull on the line and get ready to make the catch of my life.

Would have to be strong line to support the freezing blasts (or melting temps) of life in space. Might I suggest spiderwire?
