I don't know if it's against the rules to post this, but it's not illegal.
I'm starting to become a fan of Bittorrent, it's quite nice to get reliable downloads.
Even though Bittorrents main site now has a search feature, they all link to other sites that host.
http://thepiratebay.org/ is a nice one to use, but use the
http://bittorrent.com one as well.
Does anyone know how to use bittorrent really well? I'd appreciate a better understanding.

Bittorrent is something I have not gotten into that much, I'd have to check it out.

Ew.
Bittorrent is pretty nice, and you don't need to do too much to make it work terribly well. Just make sure you spread around the ports it uses if you are behind a NAT. This should help let other people come in and download from you. That's good because that means there is less chance of you and someone else dowloading the same parts from the same other people. The more you share, the faster things go for everyone.

That's the only thing I don't get about bit torrent, how do I share, without having to start a download? I'm suprised the concept works since it's hard to find stuff on p2p networks where people are sharing no matter what, never mind when they're only sharing if they're downloading the file you want. And let's say I have some stuff I want to share, it's lot of trouble to make a torrent and somehow get people to connect to you.. I guess people are dedicated enough to go through the trouble.

After you have a torrent, you can start a bit torrent "download" and have it save as the file you want to share. Since the file is already there, the bt client won't request parts from other users, but will still be available to share.
The current beta + azerus have code in them that doesn't require that you use a tracker, which I think will solve the one problem that was keeping bit torrent from being even more useful.

cold drink if you want me to know what your talking about then spell it out in full words.
the fact you split your post with chat lingo and full text tells me you
1. tried to hide something from me
or
2. you expected every one to understand your chat lingo?
you made an error in the fact that this has a shot box on the main forum page but these messages are not real time. you Can Spell out the whole word here

The "Ew" goes with the quote. No special lingo just the sound "Eeewwwww". The rest is unrelated.
