JSP

Hi!
We need someone expertise on JSP that could help us link our website to our MySql database. Just for information, webstrike is currently hosting our website. However, our JSP pages that link to our MySql database is not working on the live server for some reason that we do not yet understand.
We are trying to resolve the problem by isolating all the possible causes of errors. That is why we need your help.
At first, we thought Webstrike changed/updated the settings that run the JSP pages but we were wrong. They made no changes/updates. Actually, they offered to help us if we would like to move to another server to see if the JSP will work. Can anyone here explain the benefits of moving to another server in terms of running JSP? What are the advantages and disadvantages – so we would know whether to transfer or not.
Moreover, we are also asked to download Caucho Resin files to correct the problem since there was a report of missing packages but honestly, we are not familiar with the technicalities of installing the file. Is there an easy way to do this? Please help. We need to access the database on web, and still using our JSP.
It worked last month and now that the person who was in charge of running the JSP left the company, we do not know what to do.
Thanks,
Joel
