Spam Detection System

I just programmed and installed a spam detection system. I tested all the spam at AF (got lots!) and it all came positive, and I tested a bunch of normal posts, even non-intro type posts, and they came negative. So I think the system is pretty good and will be improved as new types of spam are introduced in the forum community. But right now it's drugs and ipods so the system concentrates on that, mostly, but has lot of general rules so it should cover a wide variety of spam.

This won't affect curent members, just new members. After making it past the spam checker a few times, it stops checking, assuming the person is posting legit stuff. So this decreases the chance of false positives.

Problem is, there is a way around this, and the only way to stop that is to use something that would be extreemly hard on the server, but based on most spammers they don't even come close to going around the system, anyway.

Sure but you might want to use a proxy, or make sure I'm online when you do so. :D

Just register a new account and copy and paste some random spam such as this:

A no bull way to make money online. NO CC NUMBER NEEDED!!!

You probably see pop ups and ads all over saying “Get paid to take surveys”, and stuff like that. A lot of these are just scams that make you pay THEM. Most of the other companies have you entered into ravels for completing a survey.

This Site pays a cash minimum of 5$ for every survey completed. I made 40 bucks on one survey that took less then 8 minutes to complete. Payout ranges from 5-75 bucks. This is a GREAT way to make money…. Truly the American way. Here is exactly how I did it.

1. Go to http://www.5u6v2y7a2v6.2o6/2i5=7624679

2. Sign up. You need to give your mailing address only for them sending the checks. (I have been with this program for over a month, and have not received any spam, junk mail, or annoying calls.)

3. Use a real Email address because they send you the surveys through Email

4. After your all done sighing up, go into the members section. You will see the profile enhancers. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! Fill out as many of them as you can. There short. I did all of them in less then 10 minutes. If you do these, you will get A LOT more real surveys. More Surveys = More cash.

5. After filling a bunch, or all of them out. Just book mark the site.

6. Check your Email daily. When ever you get a survey from them, you have to qualify for it by answering 1-2 questions (your age, male/female.. something like that) This is just to make sure your not lying. Id say just to be honest.

7. When you qualify for a survey, take it (kind of boring, takes less then 15 minutes though) after it is complete you can log back into the homepage and check your revenue. I would let the money build up a little bit, instead of asking for a check every time you complete one.

Any Questions?
Hope this works out for you as well as it did for me.

Checks take 2-3 weeks to send….. Want proof? Hear you go:

Alright. I'm gonna test some spam. I'm gonna make a new account called ASPAM, BSPAM and such. Hopefully it doesn't ban my IP though :P.

hehe the rules need a bit of a tune up but in general it worked. funny since I hit refresh and just see the "banned" pop up.

There's a feature I forgot to put though, make it so it alerts me when it happens. It only alerts me when the user is trying to access but I usually ingore those thinking it's some old rule I made a while back. So need to make it set an alarm for spamming.

Yeah I was thinking the quote system, but a bit harder to moderate that. Though so far no one has done it. I should just make it so you need a certain ammount of posts to use it.

The first time, what happened? Since I noticed it had blocked your IP but did not ban the account.

Hmmm, I'm not sure. I think Furball's account was running in the background so it didn't have time to refresh. The second time I spanned, I couldn't log in to either, so it works fine. LMAO my computer JUST crashed though. It sooo totally restarted on its own. I guess it's against SPAM as much as I am! :roflmao2: . Anyways, gonna check it out in the shout box.

Woah, that was weird. I was just signed in as Furball, but when I submitted my post, it's showing as ASPAM! :o. Weird huh? Furball's alter ego?

Weird... you might ahve to clear your cookies first or something. :D

I just notice a really bad security flaw in my security system (very ironic).

Basically I redesigned it a few weeks ago and forgot to impliment logging in it, so it was not logging anything that matched with a rule. :o

1020 points? :P I don't get it. Oh well. By the way, When I try to log back in before you clear my spamming, it gives me the "Disabled menu" message when I'm trying to view the FORUMS. However, I still have access to the cybervillage :P. I dunno if this is an issue. i can retest it and give you a screenshot if you like.

Odd, you mean with the furball account? What exactly is the message you get? Since it should not have blocked that account.

Did you try the shoutbox too?

No, with the ASPAM account. When I try to log in afterwards, it says that I cannot access the menu. But I can still access the cybervillage with the ASPAM account. Oh, and the shoutbox was spammed 3 times again with 3 different types of spam. :grade11math:

Oh, but you can't access the forum? Yeah that's normal. The cybervillage is a seperate component so yes you can access it, but now that I think of it, I should make it so banned people can't access it either but it's not really an issue since it's not like they can do much.
