The special event sounds great but the name is not original. I think it needs a new name and a story to go behind it (Like Treasures of Tokuno).

In the realm of Ultima Online, the virtures and their anti-virtures was constantly waging a war. Paladins and Necromancers, allied strongly with one side or another, were becoming abudant within Britinana. Virture was an uncommon thought in this time, seeing murder becoming abundant to those whom could not see the reward in following such a just cause.
King British realized the this force cannot be stopped. His legion, The True Britinania's, could not hold back forced from both The Shadowlords and Minax. Even with the Mage Concil's assistance, it appeared that it would be imposisble to restore the land.
However, Lord British had a plan set for these times. At the time of Lord Blackthorn's betrayal, him and his greatest acranist (Demitel) created several powerful tools to use in bringing Order back to the lands.
Though, it did not occur to Lord British that Demitel desired pure neutrality, and death of the virtures. It was his desire that all virtures, and antivirture alike, ceased to exist. But Demitel, being the sage he is, determined not anyone could wield these weapons. Only those of great renown throughout Britinania could possess these tools.
So, though a prayer to his dark gods, they accepted his whim. They would distrubute these tools of chaos and death to those whom they saw fit. So, for one to must have recieved a tool, they must not only catch the eyes of mortals BUT of the very gods themselves!
Like Demitel, these unscurpolous gods cared nothing for karma. They only wished for the death of both Order and Chaos, Virture and Antivirture. Thus, they called these powerful tools "The Artifacts of Assimiliation". This name was chosen in hope that it would remind the mortals what their true purpose was: To create an equalibium of Chaos and Order, and assimilating them into one.

Damn, that's a good story.

A long time ago in the land of Brittania, war raged on between the 4 factions. Minax, True Brittanians, Council of Mages and the Shadowlords were in constant battle. Many brave fighters proclaimed victory for their factions. To ensure that their side would win at war, powerful sages casted spells upon jewels, weapons and armor and gave them to their best fighters. The sages were advanced beyond this time, knowing how to use bloodmoor, executioner caps, wyrm's hearts and dead wood to imbue normal items with enchantments.
These items kept an imbalance between all 4 factions for many years, severing honor in war. It was no longer about who was the best fighter, it was who had the strongest magic backing them up. The sages fought in vain to make items that were more powerful than the first to ensure a victory for their faction.
One night, the sages of each faction were murdered in their sleep by a group of former faction members. The fighters woke up to find the sages' smoldering skeletons and their magical items missing. Naturally, each faction blamed the other for the deaths and war went on.
Who stole the items and murdered the sages exactly? Only the descendants of those responsible know the real story. In each faction, there was a member who did not believe that the wars should be fated by the use of magical items and that true honor in battle would lead them to victory. They stole each item and killed the sages to prevent more from being made. One of these refugee members was the sage from the True Brittanians. Feeling guilted by creating items for men with lack of honor in war, he left in the night and travelled to the honor shrine to worship till the end of his days.
Years after the sage left, the other former faction members were banished from their factions for their refusal to fight in a war based on magical enchantments. They all gathered at the shrine of honor as if by chance. It is believed that the sage's magic guided them to that very shrine on the exact same night. It was agreed then that they would put a right to the imbalance of the factions and return honor to war. When the magical items were all collected, the sage casted one last spell.
"These items shall remain hidden until a lord who is honorable in battle rises up against the others. That lord is the only person worthy of the sage's magic"
And thus is the legend of the Lost Artifacts.

When Minax took over Lord British’s realm, she started a rift, both among her followers, and among the followers of Lord British. Both sides split into two different groups, with different ideals, and war ensued among all 4 sides.
The rebellion began in Moonglow, where the council of Mages decided that Lord British was no longer fit to rule Britannia. He’d not only failed to protect his lands from the invading hordes, but many of his own people had abandoned him and fled to the side of darkness, taking post with one of the factions of evil.
British’s loyal followers tried to crush the rumors quickly that Moonglow was planning on seceding from the throne’s grasp, but this only furthered their cause, making those who died or were jailed martyrs for the cause of the mages. The Council of Mages now believes that what Britannia needs is a new leader: one who can not only lead Britannia against Minax, but who can also keep peace once it’s restored. To this end, they have begun preparations to do something drastic.
Though they’ve never had to do this themselves, they are the keepers of the arcane knowledge, and they have prepared many notes and items which they will need in their quest. They oppose Minax, and Lord British, and as such, are not safe from danger in either company.
Meanwhile, Minax has something of a rebellion herself occurring. Strangely enough, from within her own rank and file, there are those who are calling for the Shadow Lords to be released from the Abyss to take their rightful place as the rulers of the dark land. While her minions are grateful to Minax for allowing them the opportunity to strike terror at Lord British, they feel she is only useful as a magical tool, and is not powerful enough to lead them against Lord British for an extended period of time. To this end they have begun preparations to do something drastic of their own; call for the Shadow Lords.
Her minions are now split amongst those who would follow her, and those who wish to see her dethroned. Infighting is the only thing thus far that is keeping Minax from working out a way to breach the virtue spell that protects Lord British and his followers.

If you don't mind, maybe write that up in a UO book, or multiple parts, and I can setup some ruins somewhere, and I'll edit the scripts to change the arty message and any other reference to treasure of felucca to Artifact of Assimilation.

The Seven Towers , By Mylur the Mage
The Wlafestalin was once the most powerful and sucesful academy in existence.
Led by the twins Arkkaza and Demitel, this academy was basically the mother of all our arcane knowledge.
Such academy had secrets too... being them the Seven Towers. Each tower has an element of its own, being them Life, Water, Fire, Air, Earth, Light and lastly Darkness.
The tower of Life lies in the desert of Compassion, located in the center of a local village in there. The citizens of this village live in peace and harmony within the serene grave of the tower. Such village holds the name of the desert too, "Compassion". Its a tad too peaceful in there I admit.
The tower of Life is named Witta, theres a cult of monks and druids in that same place worshiping the life of everything on this world.
A second tower, the fire one, named Pyroor, lies in the a Volcano in The Lost Lands. The heat of this tower is just extreme. Not even Humus himself dares getting close to it. You may as well find Salamando, the guardian of flames on this tower, I'm not sure if he is alive or not though... caution if you try to get to Pyroor, as Humus lives pretty close to it, and even the sandstone used to make this tower is somewhat melted.
The third tower, elemental of Water, is actually a city. The city Atlantis. Its location is actually unknown. Yet, its well known about what it holds. The Oracle of Poseidon, an artifact capable of controling the waters of all facets. No one other than Poseidon himself can use it though. You may as well find a couple friendly water elementals in there too.
The tower of Light lies in mountains southwest of Luna. Not much is known about this one tower, but its actually being used as temple by the paladins from the whole world. The actual name of this tower is Luminus.
I dare say no one knows where the earth tower is located. Its said however, that such tower holds a gigantic fortune. This one has no actual name, due to lack of informations about it.
I know little about the last two ones. The Air one is located in the Mountains of Avarice, actually, this tower is unreachable unless If you are lucky enough to get a hiryu capable of flying, only Demitel has one actually. Ill have to ask for a trip to Aeropika some day... yes, I will.
Now for the last one... I get scared by just mentioning about this... Its the source of chaos, death, destruction... You can even hear the screams from cursed souls comming from this tower. Many lost their minds by just staring for a few seconds on Cataclysma, the tower of Darkness. I dont know the location of this one tower at this moment, but any person capable of opening the Pandora Box behind the Black Door in Wind will discover ... and probably soon regret it.
