The cybervillage great depression

I think there will be a great depression soon. The stocks keep going up and eventually they need to go down, and it will probably be drastic.
Also there's too many rich people, and they're a threat to new citizens because they have more money, and more weapons of mass destruction.
I sense it coming, a large scale great depression, maybe even a war.
Actually I've slowly been plotting to do a huge overhaul on the cybervillage. At that point I may zap all the ICs to start from scratch. Also banks will offer loans but I'll have to come up with a credit system where if you don't have good credit you can't have a loan, and the bigger loan you have, the more interest you pay. There will also be more then one bank, and they will make profit, or loose profit, like real banks, and each business (banks, stores etc) will be in the stock market and the stocks will be based on profit in a way or the other. Heck Imay even make it so business owners have to submit income statements to the stock market so it will be possible to lie but if you get caught saying you're doing well when you arn't, you may enronate and loose the business. Basically I want to make it more interactive then it is now.
I'm also not sure if I want to use a 2D map (like sim city, but top view rather then isometric) or use a 1D map like a super mario level, so basically you wil have the ground, and buildings/houses that you can get by horizontal scrolling (there will no longer be vertical scrolling on the map). The beauty of this is it would enable to make actual office buildings, and inside those buildings there could be seperate businesses/appartments etc...
Though the 2D map would look cooler and be easier to find specific places, but it would maybe require more html/graphics.
But I think I'l go for that one anyway, given the cybervillage is member only and I'l probably limit it to 8 bit graphics or something, simply to save bandwith and with creativity it can still look cool. It will look similar to a super mario map only difference you can just go click anywhere you want to go, and not travel.
I was going to make it so it's like a board game but for each move it would require a page load AND page regenerate, too much resources used up for that.
The page will only regenerate like every 15 minutes so that way it won't have to query the DB all the time.
