I've head some good things about it but really how much cash do you get from it. Is it like 2 cents for every click and what stops you from just sitting at your computer and keep on clicking.

They are very conservative about the ammounts. It's based on CTR, so if it's a high enough CTR it can be as much as a buck a click (though high CTR usually happends during low traffic, when a few people click) but with a low CTR you can get as low as a fraction of a cent per click.

So it's hard to tell for sure how much. But with about 200,000 page views a month I do about 2 bucks a day. Not that much, but to consider it's "free cash" it adds up and I get a nice check every 2 months or so. I have a $US118.86 check sitting on my desk now, that I'll deposit tomorow. According to the exchange rate now that's $142.44. So 2 of these checks can buy me a nice toy such as ram, to upgrade my PC. But I keep it all in the bank. The site's budget is at $584.15 not counting that check.

If I were to cheat and click myself, they could catch me and terminate my account. It's very easy to do, they just have to match the IP with the one that logs in to the google control panel. I've clicked a few times though and never had anything bad happen (it was actually an interesting ad and I wanted to see what it was) but if I were to sit here and click like crazy, or setup a bot, then they'd probably catch me. And it IS stealing, really.

I think you need to have an actual established domain to use them though, but I could be wrong. I know they want somewhat established sites, and not just a cheap proboard type deal, but then again I've seen people put some there too... so I guess they're not as strict as other ad networks. So give them a try and see if you get approved or not. I got rejected by allot of other ad networks, so I still need to get more traffic before trying again.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking, i've been trying to teach myself web design and i figure in a few years i might be able to have a real site and i wanted to know if the ads would eventually cover the cost for hosting, domain, etc.

They should, since for me they more then cover the cost.
