i cant find my message on how to get the scheduled tasks to work in winXp

it tells me the tasks did not run because there was no password put in.

there is no password set to be put in?:blink:

and since i forgot please tell me how do i get it to let me set up scheduled tasks again.

theres information on how to do this in the help for the task scheduler?

it simply says that you can just create the task with out the password and when you finish you open the properties for the task,
then on that first tab in the properties you will see a check box in the lower left corner that says run only when logged on.

check that box.

it will run the task now only when the person that created the task is logged on to their desk top.

so if your the only person that uses the windows xp computer you can then make it run all the tasks with out the password.

but if you add a user to the computer when they are logged on it wont run unless you have the admin password in it.
