I know there's a few of us here now that know turing, and if anyone is interested in writing a tutorial let me know, since by looking at the server logs, I think such tutorial would generate a crazy ammount of hits, and hopefully help all the people landing here and not finding much.

Tutorial on what? There are many things about turing. I can probably create information on how to do loops and conditional statements. I might even be able to make a section on file saving. However, I'm not sure if the coding is exactly the same for the newer versions of turing (OOT). I know the dos stuff and its limitations a bit more :o

Yeah basically a tutorial that does the basics at least, and more then one tutorial would not hurt so if you want to make one that simply explains what turing is and shows basic code, then later on another that goes more in depth, sort of like what I did with php. It would get 5000 views easly.

Sure, I guess I can do that. Gotta familiarize myself with the code though. Kind of got java and VB on the mind now. Shouldn't be too hard, I just gotta review my old programs. Hmmm, which reminds me, I should really find my executable version of a game I made. May come in handy when I finish my html projects 5 days before they're due :P

I would advise not reinventing the wheel. There are numerous Turing tutorials that have been thoroughly commented on over at compsci.ca.

Everyone comes here looking for turing tutorials. Just type it in google. :D

It can probably get us right on top if an article is released.

You know what we could do...A number of us have already posted turing help on a certain thread. We can just combine and link these ideas together and as a few transitional elements and VOILA, you got an article. That way, nobody has to be stuck writing something from scratch. We can just gather alll the turing information we wrote and combine in into a report. What do you think?

Sounds like a plan as long as it's properly ordered and stuff. I have a css class for posting code nicesly in a textbox so code could easly be displayed too.
