We're under attack!

Kind of ironic that it's September 11th, we're getting attacked by a bunch of different IPs. It's a very slow attack that attempts to send mail through known cgi scripts, which we don't have. So it's nothing too alarming, but I am investigating to find out if it's the same person responsible for the attacks or if it's just a coincidence. The attack seems to have started before but most of the hits are today.

:N2 attack: They will not go very far, trust me. B)

Not yet, there's too many IPs and it's not worth going through the list and blocking them all, and since none of them brute forced to the point of wasting resources I won't bother but I will keep an eye open on these. <_>

Our site is 100% secure against what they are trying to do, so it's nothing to be scared of.

But I'll have to check if it's people linked with al queda. You may laugh, but what they are trying to hack could become useful for communication purposes by such a group, and the fact that it's on 911 is really questioning. Some of the IPs apear to be from asia but I have not researched them more yet.

At least it's only sometimes. :D

I havn't even bothered researching these IPs, the "attack" was too spreaded out on various systems and my tought is that it's some kind of virus that was simply scheduled for that date. None of them attempted again so far.
