I know i posted someplace in here before about this player but man you aint going to be disapointed if you go get it now the new version is out.

it is multilingual for i think half of europe ? france, spain, italy, german, i think russian and might even be for japan also.

it is still the best one around for free it now has a few limited visuals with it. and it has the use of the winamp player or the built in player. and it still uses winamp plugins if you like them.

they changed the skin but all the old winamp 2.9 skins still work, they increased the useablity of it about 80%.

what one am i talking about. MEDIA MONKEY

it is hugely useful for all our large media directorys, only it is not a download program it is a database program that will change both id3 tags and keep the information when you convert the song file between different formats.

only i do see some troubles with it. but minor ones like if you use winMe the automatic volume analyzer will only work some of the time but it works good on winXp and other Os's.

the last version 2.1 that i posted about was great. but they spent over a year with 5 beta tests and 5 release canadate versions of this new version 2.2 so they did take there time and get lots of stuff working way up to par.

you dont need a new player then that is fine but you will not find any other one that is as great in getting your media files organized like this one will. it even handles FLACC files now i think that is how you spell that ? i use ogg so i cant tell if i spelled that right sorry tak if it is wrong.

there was a message in the fourm that a guy posted that he uses those files and has over 2.4 tera gigs?? on 13 different hard drives of those files and media monkey handles them perfect excpet it does not edit the tags within the files themself's for that format but it keeps them in media monkeys own list so you will still have the information if you play them in media monkey.

those are all i can think of off hand for any more reviews you need to go to the fourm there and start reading in his bug report and help needed rooms.

but man this program is too good to pass up. B)  :awesome:

That does look slick, but I am too set in my ways to change software. Winamp 2.1 does everything I need.

Oh, and it handles FLAC! It’s good to see FLAC support growing.

yep so was i until i found i could put the files in any folder open up media monkey.
and fill in all the tags. then select all the files no matter how many 10 300 7000 50,000? then click on the tools and tell it to auto orgnize them. then put the path in the text line with the needed tags to tell it to add them to folders for artist and albums and other ways to orgnaize the files.

then click ok and depending on how many you have it was done in a mater of minutes. :D

no more making the folders then renaming them then putting the songs in and telling the program to find them.

just encode the file then fill in the tags and let the program put them in the right places? :awesome:

my old ways went the way of old ways, and i am using the new way now :D
