Houston we have a problem.
The server is down and not sending out Smallpox units at present.
All Iceteks change to cancer until the situation is resolved.

Problem with spox was the units went so quick and ran out during the night. The powers who be loaded the next bunch which are running at about every 1-2 hours. Unfortunately I am stuck with a "really big cancer" now though.

Yeah I wish there was an easy way to have archive WUs on a LAN server and point all the machines to that server. I think if they tool this aproach it would actually be less hard on their servers. It could automaticly download 1 WU per 5 hours and upload one per 5 hours or something like that.

It went down for me too about a day ago, but now I'm fine. Last connected 3 hours ago and I can get to the grid site fine.
Glad to see you here, hopefully you'll stick around even when the server's back up.
Maybe post a traceroute and I can try and figure out what the problem is, it sounds like a routing issue since I heard of others having problems too.

I should offer a WU download service here. I can download WUs from my house and make them available to download here. LOL
I should charge 50 cents a WU, make quite allot of cash.
It would be like selling illegal drugs.

As you may have noticed the IP space has not yet changed. Sometime today we will more than likely have another unplanned outage. With our current network configuration and the way our providers are routing to us did not allow us to complete the switch over.
They are working to fix the issue but due to the time requirements of our previous provider shutting us off in the near future we want to make sure this switch can happen as soon as possible.
Sorry for any problems this may cause but you can expect your agents to be unable to connect during the outage.
Thank You
paul
Also, right now the IP I get for the server.ud.com is 65.112.245.124. I'm not 100% sure but I think this is in fact the same server that the agent connects to.
Connected 12 minutes ago successfully, crunching a smallpox unit now... I wish I'd just get a long cancer one to get past these outages in case they start hitting me.

Ok now I can't connect either.
We just have to be patiant I guess.
Well time to go to the backup WU which is under the possums team, and they'll kill me if they notice me returning a result under that account but oh well. Gota contribute somehow.

Yeah well it's like that for me too right now, but it only started overnight, yesterday I could connect fine. I think what they did was do the dns switch over before the server switch over, so those who's dns changed can't connect, but the ones with the old IP can... hmm this gives me an idea, I'll see if it works.

ok, I pinged 65.112.245.124 to no avail, which is not what I figured would happen.
But I pigned server.ud.com and got 24.227.208.124 which is a different IP then yesterday. So my guess is that they are not done setting up the server software yet, and just pulled off 65.112.245.12 completly.

ok, so the new IP is in fact 24.227.208.124 but the server is highly overloaded right now. It took about 5 minutes just for me to connect. I managed to get through and download a WU.
If you can't ping server.ud.com add it to your hosts file:
server.ud.com 24.227.208.124
download.ud.com 24.227.208.124
They are using IIS which does not do well under high load so this is probably why. Everyone is trying to connect and they are most likely doing transfers from the old server, making the process even more hard on the server. But just keep trying and you'll get in.

Odd... are you using IE? There seems to be an issue with some versions of IE and invision boards. Try clearing your cookies and relogging in.

Probably that. Since this site seems to be a victim of any anti-spyware/anti-ad/anti-riaa type thing. I have no clue why.
There's a few 100 sites hosted on this server so all it takes to get blacklisted is some dumb guy doing something stupid on his site.

Do me a favor and try to log in again and just let me know since I added a new feature to the logs and it might help me figure out what's going on.
