Update [June 23 07] - ML Woods / Lumberjacking

*Added ml woods, grab an axe and go lumberjacking for some new colorfull logs. You can now craft/enhance stuff with these woods. Some such as bloodwood even give HP regen and other properties. See this link for more details: http://www.uostuff.com/index.php?title=Wood

* Bows, bokutos, gnarled staves, wooden shields and other wooden loot can now be enhanced with bowfletching or carpentry.

* ML loot now only drops in ml dungeons

* Demitel bosses no longer run away

* Did a few monster AI fixes

okay, few things noticed and wondered about

when you enhance, all the original mods are deleted?
what are those pieces of bark, shrooms and switches about?

and nice job, finally fletchers are of some use :P

Pieces of bark are used to make darkwood armor. It takes 4 pieces of bark in order to make one part of the armor.

Switches are used in order to make a rune prism, I believe. They have to be deco, because I don't know what else they woudl do.

The Luminous Shrooms are semi-rare indgredients that are used in ML Recipies later.

All three of these are semi-rare, and can only be obtained with GM lumberjacking.

Enhancing should not remove mods, it only adds on. I did this slightly different then OSI, as it even makes mods go higher if its the right wood on the right mod. Ex: you have a wep with 40 hit life leech and use bloodwood, you should get 56 hit life leech. (bloodwood gives 16). Heartwood is random mods, so you can even go over the 5 property limit though they'll be rather low intensities unless they add to existing ones.

I think runed prisms recharge talismans, but tbh I never looked further into it. When I put in the talismans I had to do an edit to make the bark fragments and stuff drop. There's also a todo where you can get some kind of gem, but not sure about those, I'll have to look it up.

Heh yep yep. Still undecided if I want to make them gotten through bods or what. Maybe custom quests, or even make them drop in doom. :P Think on OSI its obtained through a quest.

And do they have runic carpentry kits? I'll probably make those too. ZOMG runic chair!

One thing I noticed. I can't enhance tetsubos (sp?). I have the carpentry and tinkering needed because I crafted one with bloodwood. But when I try to enhance one it says "You do not have the necessary skills to enhance that". Or something along those lines.

You have to be close to legendary to enhance tetsubos.

The gem you are referring to red is likely amber. When you lumberjack you have a very rare chance of getting a piece of amber which can be used in other recipes.

Yeah, there is runic carpentry tools, its for the woodland armor and staves / shields... I could explain you how you do those quests but... huh, its boring and I'm studying math. lol

I might just make it work through bods for consistency. I've been thinking of improving bods anyway, just have to check out the code more on how they're done.

The runic kits are coded, just need to make them obtainable now.

ffs no dont do that lol...

although if you can go past 50% of a wep mod on bows , well bows are already a preferred warrior class on the shard this would only make them more wanted to be played.... theres no real adv for a melee chr i think there should be something for melee warriors also some kind of wep enhancement
