people who just don't get how pop3 email works

I find it funny how so many people don't have a clue how pop3 email works. To me it's simple, you have a client that when you check the mail, it takes the mail from the server and puts it on your PC, it's like going to the post office to get something. You bring it home, so you have it with you. You can only look at it if you are at the same place you brought it (home). Same with email, if you have your account setup on various computers and you check your mail on computer A, don't go looking for it on computer B.
My dad got me to setup our isp account on my PC because the P3 is messed up, and I checked for mail and he was looking for a previous email and got me to check the deleted items because he said he might have deleted it downstairs. If he deleted it downstairs, it will be in the trash downstairs, not here.
Another thing that's funny, my grandma did not want to receive mail on her isp account anymore, so she deleted the outlook express icon on the desktop, thinking it would delete the mail account.
