When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. "Hey," I announced to the technician, "It's open!" To which he replied, "I know - I already got that side."

well i am a genius mechanic. even if i say so my self.
but there are times when i am an ego triping mechanic, smart butt mechanic, lazy mechanic, good for nothing mechanic, and a know it all mechanic.
and i am really the last one up there.
i do know and been trained in diesel engines and in gas engines and in small engines. but the only school i went too for it was for diesel.
i learned the rest from dad. who is a master mechanic, he was a ground crew cheif on the lockeed super connie when he was in the navy.
he taught me all i would stand still for and i learned the rest by trial and error.
i am able to figure out what 5 to 10 things might be wrong by listining to the engine but to be sure i have to tear it apart and look. but it will be one of the things i say before i tear it apart..
but i dont work on them i get tired of that fast. and i just mainly fix mine when i get around too it, if the oil pan leaks a little so what i just use some oil thickining stuff. that stops it until the next time the oil is changed.

Mmmm... a know it all mechanic, now that's interesting!
Some would say,"Jack of all trades, master of none".
Hubby don't like working on vehicles either, says my 10 year old car is a piece of junk, but it's not! Some of the sensors for all the bells and whistles won't work. Told him if it quits on me, I will just have it towed!
