Max damage for ranged weapons

no offense to u guys, but that idea sounds pretty gay, have 12 damage cap on monsters too? maybe pvp, but monsters? what about all the damage increase and such, it would be pointless. i dissagree with that idea. :o:

PVM there should not be a cap but perhaps in PVP as a raw damage cap (Spells like consecrate or any other damage enhancer shouldn't fall under that cap). I believe that idea is currently in testing so that might change.

It only applies ot pvp and 12 is assuming the target is full 70. If you consecrate or corpse skin or concussion (etc) it goes higher. Armor pierce can hit like 30+ if the condition is right (less armor, the higher it hits, basically)

But this is why I want people to test it on the test server before this publish goes live. I can easily alter those numbers if they need to be. So go have duels and such on the test server. I'm planing to make this publish go live in the next few days.

Concentrade doesnt do anything if the opponent has 70's and i belive i know a thing or two about playing archer on valor and i struggled to get mages down even with the previous settings, i had to use mortal, it was a must not a suggestion, and even then when i get them low enough to land the final hit, i start missing.

I understand the concerns of hp, but i dont think this is needed.

I was testing 120 tactics 120 anat 100DI and 120 archery and even with divine fury I was only doing about 15 or so per hit, which is about half your damage. I have no idea how you even do 30 per arrow on full 70 (thats not counting the hit spell which is a seperate number). I might raise the cap to like 20 and melee to 30, as these are more or less safety caps as anything above that is just rediculous.

I just want everyone to test this on the test server by having duels or what not so I can know whether or not those values should be changed before it goes into production.

Twenty is about the HP of a boar. I'm sure an arrow can take out a boar in one hit. So, that's sensible.

Thirty damage is also sensible for melee. I'd expect to take more damage from an axe to the arm than an arrow to the arm.

30 damage on full 70 is probably over 100 damage on 0, so yeah that would kill a boar no problem (assuming the cap applied to pvm, which it does not).

also when i honred a demetiel boss, honor is suppost to like incrase the damage with bushido and other monsters it does by a lot when reached perfection, are demetiels coded a ceryin way to where they dont take more damage or can you reach a potential max damage , cuz i could only hit for say 120 every time, even when reached perfection it didnt change, yet when i crit with lightning strike id hit 180, double slayer also doesnt change it, neither does single slayer, enemy of one and conecrate can reach max i feel like i should be able to do more with 2x slayers lol

Hmm I'll have to check that, maybe perfection is bugged. When you hit it, I think it should give you 100DI. Though I'm not sure if this obeys the 300DI cap, if it does, then you're easily exeeding it if using double slayers or even a single slayer and EO1+Divine fury

Yeah 255 is quite a lot, I was amazed at doing 100 on crystal demon lol, normally I do like 20's or so, but I finally decided to make a chiv archer which does insane damage in pvm, add slayers to that and wow lol.
