I have a problem with the icons in the "My Pictures" folder I have video files, when they are viewd as thumbnails they have scattered different Icon pictures from one file to another including icons appearing from other folders in other parts of the disk drive, the descriprion of each file is fine but the icons are all over the place??
Restarting the computer will not fix he problem,
Refreshing or rearanging the icons will not fix it,
Virus detectors and registry cleaners do not detect or resolve it,
Is this a "Bill Gates" fault?
or am I overlooking somthing obvious???

you are more then likely running in to the tipical set up for video files.

in windows xp you can customize the folder to show an image when viewing thumbnails. and when viewing icons you can program them to show icons.

now the sam can be done with files also.

the trouble is most videos are shown with thumbnails of the first image in the video file.

if you view as icons that also might happen.

you might have to take all the files and put them in a different folder and make shortcuts to them, and then put the short cuts in the folder you now have all the files in. this will let you make the shortcuts all the same image but not the files themselves.
