close call... but not my cat

We had a call from people walking in an alley/parking lot downtown. It's all old brick buildings.

They saw cats in this building wall, it's sort of like two buildings very close together where the crack got closed in, but there's a section where there's no bricks and it's not ground level, but about 8 foot deep. There's a black cat, two little kittens and a cat that looks just like ours, but when it came out, we realized it was not ours, but for some time we were positive. :(

We tried to save them but they are too scared and when they do come out, they go back in if there's anyone that tries going close. But what's nice to know is that they are capable of going from the opening to the other end of the walls safely, I looked down thinking I can maybe get in, but it is not safe. It's full of debris and 2*4's sticking out, and it was hard to see how steep the ground level section was. It looked like it was sand or something, but the wall keeps going deep, at least 8 feet like a basement. The other end of the two buildings the opening has bricks all the way down, so there's no way to scare them one direction and catch them. We still want to save them but at least we know wether the siamese is ours or not. I was really hoping it was.

tomorow we'll be calling the pound to set up traps and try to make them come out so we can catch them, but I just hope they will go to a good home, and not to the pound. :(

I feel sorry for the kittens, I don't think their mother is anywhere, we think it may be the black cat, but we are not sure since it does not have big boobs or anything. I'm thinking that the mother might even be dead in that hole, it's quite dangeraus in there. My parants dropped me off since I had a computer repair job to do, so they spent a few hours there until my sister came to pick me up so we can go try and get the cats to come out, at the time it was hard to see if it was our cat or not. Someone called the cops thinking we were breaking into the salvation army (one of the buildings was that) and the owner came and my parants were saying that it's dangeraus so they will get it fixed once the cats are out, I hope.

Oh, well, we tried. And at least the cats were found and will be saved from there.

The cats are capable of coming out (not sure how they do it, its a drop that`s at least 8 feet deep) but it`s almost impossible for a human to go in there and move too much because it`s not any wider then a brick`s lenght. The walls are actually "hooked up" by bricks that are layed side to side going down, but there`s a section where the bricks are either missing or never got put there.

I`ll keep you guys updated on the cats, I hope they find a good home.

Cats can get in tiny places, guess they have found a secluded place where they feel safe, but seem a bit wild.

My sister has one that got moved to her new house. It was evidently living in their boat and they didn't know it. They have since, slowly tamed her and had her spayed. Her name is MERE...as in "come mere"!
