Palm m505 hotsyncing trouble

Post by rovingcowboy »

it wont updated / upgrade the os. i have moved all stuff from windows xp computer as the upgrade setup said it could not use xp, so i put it on win Me and now the hotsync flashing causes an error and stops.?

but even before trying that i was not and am not able to get this thing to delete the previous owners information doing a hotsync it keeps trying to back up all the org. owners programs and data, even though the data on the hand held has been deleted and just the apps are there.

it wont delete his apps and it wont stop trying to back his info up on my computers and it wont change his intails in the upper right hand corner of the handheld screen. (he used his intails for his user name) i was able to get the owner changed in the handheld info area but i cant find the other info on the thing to get rid of the old owners stuff.

i even told the desktop to overwrite the hand held and that dont work because it will not go by the users name on these computers or the owners name in the handheld. it still is trying to say the other guy is the main user no matter what.
and it wont install any of my apps or data. doing the hotsync just back his up on my computer.

can any one here help.

thanks.
