I was thinking the eclipse would be later at night but it was actually early at around 5:17PM so I missed it! Anyone get to see it?

What do you mean? It's totality is supposed to be at 7:06 Central...
From CNN:
The eclipse reaches totality at 8:06 p.m. Saturday night, EST. That stage -- when the moon, Earth and sun are lined up precisely and the moon passes through the darkest part of Earth's shadow -- lasts just 24 minutes.
Looking outside, I'm reconfirmed...

Weird, I read something that said it's at 5:15.

But it does say that it continues at 7:04 p.m but it's past 7 here so I missed it anyway.

San Diego is two hours behind me and three hours behind you.
EDIT: That's silly of them not to include the time zone...

Now that I think of it, I probably got news from the wrong time zone since I just went and looked and sure enough it's covered! Looks very cool!

Yeah I was thinking the same. I often forget about time zones when viewing news online.

I don't see much yet... Almost all of it is covered up, but I don't see much red. I can't wait until I can though.
I like watching this sort of stuff.

Yeah when I went it was almost covered up. You know what I don't get about these things though, everytime it happends, they always say something like "this won't happen for another 3 billion years because of the placement of all the planets at the specific time" but yet we seem to get one at least once per year!

It didn't look as red as I hoped it would...
