(11/02/03) LITTLE FERRY - Dressed as the Big Bad Wolf, Little Red Riding Hood, and the Grim Reaper, police arrested 18 people on drug charges during a Halloween party. Authorities say the arrests come after a six-month undercover investigation into illegal activity at a pub in Little Ferry. Investigators say regulars at the Post Office Pub on Main Street could easily buy cocaine as part of their drink orders.
Police seized roughly 140 small plastic bags of cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, and some Ecstasy. They also confiscated about $11,000 in cash. Investigators say a number of bar patrons would also charge the drugs on their credit cards and then leave a very large tip on their drink bill.
Most people that were arrested were charged with offenses ranging from distribution of cocaine to possession of marijuana. Among those arrested were the bar owner and four of his employees.
